    Ms. McGarry has been a member of Guild’s Board of Directors since 1988. Ms. McGarry leads the development and execution of the company’s strategic plans and objectives and directs all corporate and subsidiary operations. Ms. McGarry, who began her career with Guild in 1984, has been one of the driving forces in formulating and executing Guild’s financial, operational and technology strategies. She began as a supervisor in Internal Audit and within 3 years was Senior Vice President of Loan Administration and Information Technology. She reorganized the Loan Administration Division and led the development and creation of the proprietary servicing software. She continued developing software applications to increase operational and financial efficiencies as she held a number of other executive positions: Chief Financial Officer, Chief Production Operations Officer, and Chief Operating Officer. Prior to joining Guild, Ms. McGarry was employed by the public accounting firm Peat, Marwick, Mitchell. She was trained as a Certified Public Accountant and serves on the Investment Committee and the Servicing Committee of the Mortgage Bankers Association, and on the FNMA Advisory Council. Ms. McGarry received a B.B.A. degree in Accounting with a minor in Computer Science in 1980 from the University of San Diego.

    Ms. Schmidt has been a member of Guild’s Board of Directors since 2006. Ms. Schmidt joined the company in 1985. She is responsible for the financial and investor reporting, budgeting, cash management, warehouse lending and human resource functions. Over the years she has performed system innovations and conversions related to her areas of responsibility, developed value added branch metrics, and designed a proprietary MSR valuation and impairment model. Ms. Schmidt started her career in Internal Audit, performing branch audits and various compliance audits related to servicing, secondary marketing and loan origination. She continues to play a fundamental role in developing the Company business strategy. Her range of versatility extends from the financial aspects of the business to product development, advertising, and systems design. Ms. Schmidt is a graduate of the University of San Diego in 1984 with a B.B.A. in Accounting and has earned the following professional certifications: Certified Public Accountant candidate (CPA, 1989); Certified Financial Professional (CFP, 1992); and Certified Mortgage Banker (CMB, 2005). Ms. Schmidt is Chair of the Mortgage Bankers Association Financial Management Committee, and a member of the Board of Governors for the California Mortgage Bankers Association (2011).

    Ms. Blocker joined Guild in 1998 with a background rooted in both wholesale and retail sales and operations at Weyerhaeuser Mortgage Company beginning in 1977. In her first two years with the Company, she was promoted to Vice President with responsibilities for Production Training. In 2001, as head of Production Operations, Ms. Blocker also assumed the leadership of Underwriting and the Branch Operations Service Center. She was instrumental in reshaping the corporate culture, and communicating the philosophy of a reorganization that proved extremely beneficial to company operations. Ms. Blocker’s tenacity in assisting branches to close loans has permeated throughout all of operations. She delicately balances prudent underwriting and effective customer service. Ms. Blocker graduated from San Diego State University in 1980 with a B.A. in English.

    Mr. Rish joined the Company in 1986. He started his mortgage training in Internal Audit, performing branch and investor compliance audits and was soon elevated to a position in Secondary Marketing. Mr. Rish has managed all aspects of the secondary marketing function to include branch and investor commitments, pipeline and inventory hedging and agency securitizations. He facilitated the design of Guild’s proprietary hedging model. Mr. Rish is an integral part of product development and designed various tools to facilitate the loan origination process such as the Company’s electronic loan finder and web based loan lock systems. He is in constant communication with branch originators and investors to expand Guild’s product offerings and maintain competitive pricing. Mr. Rish is a graduate of the University of San Diego in 1984 with a B.B.A. in Accounting with an emphasis in Computer Science.

    Ms. Cherry is recognized as a leading presence at Guild, versatile and dynamic, with well-rounded industry knowledge, including inside and outside sales. Ms. Cherry began her career with Guild in 1989 in loan servicing and has held diverse management positions in her years with the Company. Within three years, she migrated to production where she has held a number of positions, including Direct Lending manager and Account Executive in Wholesale. She was elevated to Vice President in 1997 while serving as the default manager in the Company’s Foreclosure department. She later returned to production management responsibilities in Direct Lending, then in Guild’s Branch Operations Service Center. Beginning in 2001, Ms. Cherry joined corporate loan production, where she assumed responsibilities in recruiting and managing branches. Ms. Cherry is a key member of the Guild production management team and in ongoing communication with regional, district and branch managers throughout the Company. She has helped guide the design of web-accessible systems based on her extensive experience working with branch managers and as a loan officer direct to consumer. Ms. Cherry received a B.B.A. degree in 1987 from the University of San Diego.

    Mr. Horn joined Guild in 2008, when Guild acquired the assets of Liberty Financial Group, a full service mortgage banking company based in Bellevue, Washington, that Mr. Horn founded in 2001. His leadership skills kept his team strong before, during, and after the transition to Guild. Mr. Horn is responsible for all retail production. Including his service as Chairman and CEO of Liberty Financial Group, Mr. Horn brings to Guild more than 30 years experience in executive management and entrepreneurial business operations. His executive management includes service as assistant to IBM’s Chairman of the Board, as Executive Vice President of Worldwide Sales of Attachmate Corporation, a $400 million software company, and as CEO of Saltmine LLC, an E-business web development and consulting company. His entrepreneurial experience includes forming New Link Corporation, a security software company, which he later sold to a public company in Great Britain. In addition, he sold another software venture, SafeData, to an acquiring company. Mr. Horn received a B.A. degree in Economics and Finance from Taylor University.

    Ms. Scott oversees the Company’s core business systems, infrastructure and services. She led the Information Technology area through key growth stages and provides leadership and project management in support of all Guild systems. Starting in software development in 1985 as a programmer analyst, Ms. Scott worked on a wide range of mission critical applications. She led the efforts on EDI (Electronic Data Interchange), the Year 2000 Project, web development, and many hardware and software upgrades. She is responsible for system integrity and security. Ms. Scott plays a central role in driving the strategy relative to product and services technology, architecture and infrastructure with a focus on improving organizational efficiency and effectiveness. She and her development and support teams maintain all information processing services and products and evaluate new technology. Ms. Scott and her teams ensure high availability, software implementation, integration, and technical support. Ms. Scott is a graduate of Coleman College with honors in software development.

    Ms. Kaninau joined the company in 1985 and is responsible for the overall operations of Loan Administration, managing bulk acquisition and sale of servicing as well as portfolio retention strategies. Ms. Kaninau was the project coordinator in the design and implementation of an Interactive Voice Response system and streamlined refinance program to increase portfolio retention levels. Prior to coming to Guild, Ms. Kaninau worked for Bank of America in retail branch operations for 12 years. She is able to adjust to the needs of an ever-changing portfolio and maintain high service levels and low costs per loan. From the time of her start in 1985, the Company recognized her ability to organize, problem-solve, and effectively execute company objectives. Ms. Kaninau is a member of the Mortgage Bankers Association Loan Administration Committee and the Diversity Task Force.

    Ms. Klika reports to Mary Ann McGarry, President and CEO, and is responsible for the Company’s risk management, compliance, quality assurance, and legal matters. Ms. Klika manages state and federal regulatory agency filings, licensing, inquiries and audits, analyzes regulatory changes and areas of risk to assess impact to the Company. She directs related policy and operational changes and system controls, including those that ensure compliance with major regulatory changes such as SAFE Act, RESPA reform and the Dodd Frank Act. She began with the Company in 2003 as a Compliance Analyst and held several positions including Quality Assurance Analyst and Quality Assurance Manager, before being promoted to Vice President in 2007 and to Senior Vice President in 2013. Ms. Klika graduated from Oregon State University, Corvallis, with a B.S. in Health and Human Performance. Ms. Klika was named to the MBA Future Leaders Program (2007), to the CMBA Future Leaders Program (2009), served on the MBA Residential Board of Governors Advisory Committee (2010-11), and is Chair of the MBA Regulatory Compliance Committee (2010-13).

    Mr. Madsen joined Guild in 2014 and is responsible for the Loan Administration Division, managing operations from customer service through default. In addition, he is responsible for loan accounting. Mr. Madsen has more than twenty-five years of experience in the financial services industry, in mortgage and auto finance. Most recently, he worked for GMACM/Ocwen in a lead project and compliance role to ensure full compliance with the National Servicing Settlement. His experience includes operational roles, special servicing, investor reporting and financial reporting. He graduated from Colorado College with a B.A. in Economics in 1981 and earned his M.B.A at San Diego State University in 1986.

    David Neylan joined the company in 2007 and reports to Mary Ann McGarry, President and CEO. Mr. Neylan is responsible for establishing and managing the Correspondent Lending channel since inception in 2011, a national platform. Mr. Neylan also is responsible for management and oversight of the Consumer Direct channel and the Financial Institution Services (FIS) group that supports small to midsize credit unions, community and regional banks. Before joining Guild, Mr. Neylan managed local branch, regional, and national third-party-origination divisions. Mr. Neylan graduated from the University of Southern California with a degree in Finance and is an active member of the MBA and ​CMBA.

    Amber Elwell rejoined the company in 2010 and oversees the finance, accounting and treasury functions. She started with the company in 2000 as a Staff Accountant and held a Financial Analyst and Vice President role before being promoted to Senior Vice President in 2015. Ms. Elwell has managed the implementation and adoption of a company-wide business intelligence system and paperless invoice and expense reimbursement system. Her responsibilities include the oversight of warehouse covenants, cash management, internal controls, audits, and branch and company financials. Ms. Elwell holds an active CPA and graduated with a B.B.A. in Finance from Texas Christian University and an MBA from the University of California at Irvine. She was chosen to participate in the California and the national MBA Future Leader’s programs.

    Kat Foster joined the company in 1986. Ms. Foster is responsible for credit approval, credit policy and risk management and has been essential in developing Guild’s loan origination and underwriting systems and in driving the company’s continued growth and risk strategies. She started as Underwriting Assistant and became an underwriter, obtaining her FHA and VA credentials in the early 1990’s. She advanced to Corporate Underwriting Manager in 2010 and Vice President of Underwriting in 2013. She is experienced with structuring loans and delivering them to the secondary market; her extensive knowledge in assessing risk and developing protocol led to her elevation to Senior Vice President, Director of Credit Risk in 2014. She is involved with the leadership program of the California Mortgage Bankers Association. She studied at Cannon Business School in Hawaii, graduating with a degree in business in 1982.

    David Battany joined Guild in 2015 and is responsible for risk analysis, trading, hedging, and new product strategy. He brings more than thirty years of experience in the mortgage industry, most recently at PennyMac, the largest non-bank correspondent lender in the United States, where he led product strategy, and more than a decade at Fannie Mae, where he led strategy for single-family business and managed lender relationships. Mr. Battany has served on the board for the California Mortgage Bankers Association (CMBA) and for the Mortgage Bankers Association (MBA), and on the board for the Residential Board of Governors for the MBA. He earned a B.S. degree in Finance from the University of Colorado in 1985.

    As SVP and Chief Marketing Officer of Guild Mortgage, Wendy Wong leads strategic and digital marketing for Guild’s various lines of business -- Retail, Correspondent, Consumer Direct and Servicing. She has more than twenty years experience in strategic marketing, brand development, sales and marketing alignment, and building high-performing teams. She has substantial leadership experience, and serves on the Boards of Berrett-Koehler Publishing Group, the Pacific Arts Movement, and is also the San Diego Chapter President of The CMO Club. For her work in brand storytelling and web design, she has been recognized through several awards, including Platinum and Gold Marcom Awards in video and documentary in 2015, Summit International’s Leader Award in 2013, American Business’s Stevie Award in 2013 and Best in Biz’s Silver Award for “2012 Event of the Year.” Previously, as SVP of Marketing at The Ken Blanchard Companies, a world renowned leadership development organization, Wendy led innovations in branding, storytelling, events and digital campaigns. She has held senior leadership positions at Dun & Bradstreet, HNC Software, and FICO. She received her B.A. in Literature and International Studies from Cornell University and her M.B.A in Strategic Marketing from U.C. Berkeley.

    As Vice President of Human Resources, Carolyn Frank provides direction to the company’s HR and Learning Management functions, executing strategic key initiatives focused on building capabilities within Guild’s workforce. This includes creating a strong HR foundation to effectively support the organization’s workforce strategy, driving competitive compensation and benefit initiatives, and leading a wildly successful corporate university training mode – Guild University. Her efforts have helped support the company’s rapid growth and in Guild being named a Best Places to Work organization in 2015 by the San Diego Union Tribune. Prior to Guild, Carolyn held progressively responsible HR positions at diverse industries such as Genoptix, Amylin, and Johnson Outdoors Inc. With almost 20 years of human resources experience, she has a strong background in employee relations, talent development and strategic relationship building. Her leadership style has always emphasized the benefits of building strong partnerships to understand the business challenges and opportunities in order to drive transformational programs and services.

    Mr. Nay manages the retail mortgage banking production activities for the Northwest region of Guild, with branches in Washington, Oregon, Montana and Alaska. The region is one of Guild’s fastest growing and among the market leaders in purchase loans. He started at Guild in May 2008 as senior vice president and regional manager when his firm, Liberty Financial Group of Seattle, joined Guild. For seven years, he was chief operating officer of Liberty Financial, a $1.2 billion mortgage company. Mr. Nay currently serves as chairman for the nonprofit organization, Matt Talbot Center, and is involved with several other charities in the Seattle area. He graduated from Washington State University with a B.A. in business administration.

    Mr. Rizzo joined Guild Mortgage in 2008 as the regional manager of Hawaii. A veteran of more than 25 years in the mortgage industry, he previously served for nine years as district manager for GMAC Mortgage, Hawaii. He entered the industry in 1989 as a loan officer with North American Mortgage. He received his bachelors degree in finance in 1970 from California State University, and his MBA in finance and accounting from Hawaii Pacific University in 1995. Mr. Rizzo is on the board of Domestic Violence Hawaii and Hawaii First Tee and a strong supporter of many other nonprofit organizations in Hawaii, including Windward Boys and Girls Club.

    Mr. Ochoa manages the retail mortgage activities for Guild in Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana and Arkansas, the Texas region. He was selected in 2011 to develop and grow Guild’s business, a new area of expansion for Guild in the Southwest. Mr. Ochoa has 30 years experience in the mortgage and banking industries and has worked as a loan officer, branch manager and regional manager. Before joining Guild, he was senior vice president of the mortgage division of Affiliated Bank for two years and area manager for Principal Residential Mortgage, with ten offices. He also had his own firm for eight years, 1st Intercity Mortgage. He graduated from the University of Houston in 1979 with a B.S. in business management.

    Mr. Tarbell joined Guild when Comstock Mortgage combined forces with Guild in 2014. He had chaired the board of Comstock and was its broker of record. Comstock attracted top-producing loan officers and was widely recognized as a purchase money leader. He brings to Guild 25 years of experience in the mortgage industry and a leadership position in the Sacramento mortgage market. He has hosted a weekly radio program on CBS Radio since 2004. The one-hour “Talking Money” show provides callers the opportunity to discuss mortgages, home buying and emerging trends in the economy. He is a 1989 real estate and finance graduate of California State University, Sacramento.

    Mr. Stewart is the Southwest regional manager for Guild and is responsible for managing Guild’s retail mortgage production activities in Nevada, Arizona and New Mexico. He joined Guild in 2011 as Nevada district manager after a career at Bank of America / Countrywide and was promoted to Southwest regional manager in 2014. Under Mr. Stewart’s leadership, Guild has become the leading dollar volume purchase lender in Nevada. He has over 25 years experience as a loan officer, district manager, regional manager and project manager. He graduated from San Diego State University in 1989, receiving a B.S. in business administration with an emphasis in real estate.

    Mr. MacGillivray is responsible for Guild’s Southeast region, in Florida, South Carolina, North Carolina, Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi, and Tennessee. Mr. MacGillivray and his team created Guild’s retail presence in the Southeast. He joined Guild in 2012 as a branch manager with three offices in South Carolina, two in Columbia and one in Myrtle Beach. By focusing on providing superior customer service in the Guild model, Mr. MacGillivray and his team built a strong reputation for the company throughout the region. He recruited top loan professionals to join Guild and was promoted to regional manager in 2014. Prior to joining Guild, Mr. MacGillivray was with Bank of America Mortgage for over 22 years where he led the #1 branch in units closed for many years. He received a B.S. degree in economics from The University of Georgia in 1984.

Prior to joining Guild in 2014, he managed more than 15 offices in Utah as the regional vice president of production for Academy Mortgage Corporation; he also served as the divisional sales performance manager for Bank of America, where he managed operations in Utah, Idaho, Colorado, Washington and Wyoming. He received his B.S. in business management with an emphasis in finance from Brigham Young University.
