Available Financial Hardship Assistance
Our loan counseling/loss mitigation staff is available to assist you during your time of financial hardship. We understand that financial difficulties hinder the ability to make your payments on time and we are here to discuss a plan to bring your account up to date. You can call us at (800) 365-4884 Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. PT to discuss the repayment solutions that may be available to you. The right option for your situation may be a:
- Repayment Plan
- Special Forbearance Plan
- Loan Modification
- Referral to a debt management counseling agencies
- Short Sale
- Deed in Lieu of Foreclosure
The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) is a government agency that was established to increase homeownership and support home-buyers. Around the country there are credit counseling agencies that provide free or low-cost counseling. To find the nearest HUD- certified counseling agency in your area, please call (800) 569-4287.
Attn Washington Residents: You may contact the Department of Financial Institutions, the Washington State Bar Association, or the statewide civil legal aid hotline for possible assistance and referrals. The referral number to the Washington State Foreclosure hotline is 1-877-894-HOME (4663), or for legal assistance through the Northwest Justice Project that services low income persons and persons age 60 and older 1-800-997-8944.
To assist us in determining the best option to help you, we recommend that you be prepared to discuss your household income and expenses. By gathering the following list of documents or information prior to calling us, we can better assess how we can help:
- Loan number
- Property address
- An explanation detailing the circumstances of the financial hardship
- Documentation to support the hardship (i.e. divorce decree, doctor’s note, termination letter, proof of reduction in income, etc.)
- Recent income documents (to include but not limited to Pay stubs, Social Security Benefit statements, Disability, Unemployment, Retirement, Public Assistance.)
- Bank statements and Tax Returns for the Past 2 Years
* These documents may need to be faxed or mailed to our office for final analysis to determine the best option available to you.
