John Gray, Northeast, Division Chief Operating Officer, Vice President

John Gray is the division chief operating officer for the Guild Mortgage Northeast Division and is responsible for disclosing, processing, underwriting, closing and funding operations. He oversees corporate staff in the Northeast Mid-Atlantic, Northeast Greater Granite and Northeast East Coastal regions.

John joined Guild in 2022 with the acquisition of Residential Mortgage Services (RMS). As senior executive vice president and chief operating officer at RMS, he led efforts to enhance quality and service while managing expenses in a period of rapid expansion.

With a mortgage banking career spanning more than 30 years, John has held executive positions in leading financial institutions including Wells Fargo, Bank of America, Bank of Hawaii and GMAC Mortgage, and was a consultant to the president of PHH Mortgage.

He received his bachelor’s of science in business administration in finance at Boston University and master’s of business administration in finance from UCLA.
