As senior vice president for technology and software development, Linda Scott plays a critical role in ensuring Guild stays at the forefront of the industry in adapting new technology, which has helped fuel its growth to become one of the nation’s largest independent mortgage lenders.
Ms. Scott and her development teams are responsible for software implementation, integration and technical support to ensure organizational efficiency and effectiveness throughout the company.
She helped guide the company’s information technology division through several key growth stages. From its earliest days, Guild established itself as a technology innovator. Rather than relying on off-the-shelf software, it designs its own systems to provide high levels of customer service, manage risk and maximize operational efficiency. The company continues to enhance its systems each year, including advancing toward offering complete digital mortgages with new platforms and capabilities.
Ms. Scott started in software development in 1985 as a programmer analyst. She has worked on a wide range of mission critical applications throughout her career, including leading efforts on EDI (Electronic Data Interchange), the Year 2000 Project, web development and numerous hardware and software upgrades. Ms. Scott graduated from Coleman College with honors in software development in 1982.
