Transparency is about openness, communication and accountability. And, it’s the right business choice. It’s also good for everyone. Transparency creates a space for building trust and loyalty. I’d say the right place to start is with personal transparency. For employees, I send out e-blasts to let them know what to expect and produce a monthly newsletter to share new initiatives. For customers, I share my thoughts through this blog as well as through publications. Company transparency is also important. We’ve built an in-house social media team because our employees can give the most accurate glimpses of who we are and what we do. I’ve also started a program here where managers from different departments share information, develop best practices and inform our entire staff of their work. We all like to be in the know; I believe that it’s my duty to keep everyone as up-to-date and in-the-know as possible. Thanks for tuning in!
