Matt MacGillivray, Southeast, Regional Vice President

Matt MacGillivray, Regional Vice President, is the driving force behind Guild Mortgage’s significant presence throughout the Southeast, spanning Florida, South Carolina, North Carolina, Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi and Tennessee. Since joining the company, he has spearheaded the establishment of Guild’s retail footprint across the region, setting the benchmark for unparalleled service delivery.

Matt’s journey with Guild began in 2012 when he assumed the role of branch manager, overseeing three offices in South Carolina, including two in Columbia and one in Myrtle Beach. During his first year with Guild, Matt expanded the number of branches he managed from three to eight. His customer-focused approach rapidly earned Guild acclaim as a leading mortgage provider in the Southeast, leading to his promotion to regional manager in 2014.

With a keen eye for talent, Matt fearlessly recruits top loan professionals, propelling Guild’s growth in the region. Prior to joining the company, Matt spent more than 22 years as a high-producing loan officer at Bank of America. He earned a bachelor of science degree in economics from The University of Georgia in 1984.
