As chief compliance officer, Lisa Klika is responsible for Guild Mortgage’s risk management, compliance, quality assurance and legal functions.
Her responsibilities include managing state and federal regulatory agency filings, licensing, inquiries and audits, and analyzing regulatory changes and areas of risk to ensure Guild continues its commitment to customer service while advancing new compliance standards. She directs policy, operational and corresponding technology enhancements to meet multiple regulatory requirements, including the SAFE Act, RESPA reform and the Dodd Frank Act.
Ms. Klika joined Guild in 2003 as a compliance analyst. She held multiple positions with the company, including quality assurance analyst and quality assurance manager, before she was promoted to vice president in 2007. She was named senior vice president in 2013.
Ms. Klika has been active in the mortgage industry throughout her career. She was named to the Mortgage Bankers Association Future Leaders program in 2007 and to the California Mortgage Bankers Association Future Leaders program in 2009. She served on the MBA Residential Board of Governors Advisory Committee in 2010-11 and was chair of the MBA Regulatory Compliance Committee from 2010-13. She currently serves as the vice chair of the MBA State Legislative and Regulatory Committee.
Ms. Klika graduated from Oregon State University with a B.S. in health and human performance in 2001 and earned a M.S. in executive leadership from the University of San Diego in early 2019.
