Guild Mortgage’s Carolyn Frank Honored at SDHR Forum HR Executive of the Year Awards

VP of Human Resources awarded Special HR Recognition by local non-profit group SAN DIEGO – Carolyn Frank, Vice President of Human Resources for Guild Mortgage, was honored with the Special HR Recognition Award at the San Diego Human Resource Forum’s inaugural HR Executive of the Year Awards on Oct. 13 at the Kona Kai Resort. Frank was one of two HR professionals to receive a special recognition for their outstanding contributions to the HR community and their organizations. She was honored for her ability to transform Guild’s HR function into a strategic partner by leading and implementing several new innovative programs. Frank created and chaired the committee to launch “Guild University”; the company’s learning initiative focused on employee training and development which has significantly impacted Guild’s culture and employees’ well-being. In addition, Frank has created a strong HR foundation to support Guild’s workforce including a professional development strategy, driving competitive compensation and benefit initiatives and leading a successful company-wideimplementation of a new performance management program. “It was a tremendous honor to be recognized alongside some of the most talented and influential human resources professionals in San Diego,” Frank said. “The SDHR Forum is a wonderful organization dedicated to empowering the HR community and igniting a passion for HR leaders to truly make a difference, and I am very proud to be a part of it.” San Diego Human Resources Forum is the largest organization in San Diego that brings together professionals within the HR community for professional networking, development and leadership. The non-profit created its first HR Executive of the Year event to honor human resources executives and HR teams of excellence throughout San Diego. Frank, who joined Guild Mortgage in 2013, oversees the independent mortgage lender’s human resources and learning management functions, and executes strategic key initiatives focused on building capabilities within Guild’s workforce. She has nearly 20 years of HR experience in employee relations, talent development and strategic relationship building.
