Cathy Blocker, Executive Vice President, Production Operations

Cathy Blocker oversees production operations at Guild and is responsible for assisting in closing loans and opening new doors for homebuyers. She has an extensive background in wholesale and retail sales and operations, and her experience and leadership have played a key role in the company’s continued growth and success.

Cathy has been instrumental in reshaping Guild’s corporate culture. Her leadership in implementing a philosophy of balancing prudent underwriting and effective customer service in production operations has been extremely beneficial to the company’s operations.

She joined Guild Mortgage in 1998 and was promoted to vice president overseeing production training within her first two years with the company. In 2001, she was named head of production operations, underwriting and the branch operations service center.

Cathy has more than 40 years of experience in the industry, starting her career with Weyerhaeuser Mortgage Company in 1977. Recognized nationally for her leadership in production operations, she has been a featured contributor to Scotsman Guide, where she has regularly written about the keys to growth and success in mortgage lending. Cathy graduated from San Diego State University in 1980 with a B.A. in English.
