Theresa Cherry, Senior Vice President, Regional Manager, California and Hawaii

Theresa Cherry is a senior vice president in the retail production department at Guild and manager of its California + Hawaii region. She is a dynamic and versatile leader, providing ongoing support to the company’s managers across the country

Theresa began her career with Guild in 1989 in loan servicing and has held diverse management positions during her career with the company. Her extensive experience working with branch managers and as a loan officer have helped guide the design of multiple web-based systems at Guild to improve efficiencies and customer service.

She was named vice president in 1997 while serving as default manager in the foreclosure department. She returned to production management in direct lending and later managed Guild’s branch operations service center. Theresa joined the corporate loan production team in 2001 where she began recruiting and managing branches in Guild’s Southern California region.

Theresa has close to 30 years of experience in the mortgage industry, with expertise that includes mortgage origination, refinance, underwriting, budgeting, and inside and outside sales. She received a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of San Diego in 1987.
